Children and Families

Ana K Ashton is a licensed professional counselor in both Michigan and Ohio, Registered Play Therapist (RPT, Association for Play Therapy), Infant-Family Specialist (IMH-II, Michigan Association for Infant Mental Health) and Certified Trauma Specialist (CTS, National Institute for Trauma and Loss in Children ) dedicated to working with children and families providing therapeutic and consultation services.

 

Having provided a number of presentations on a variety of topics inculding, but not limited to: attachment, parent-child relationships, play therapy, and trauma, Ana has helped to train other therapists and child-care professionals provide the best care possible.

 

Also, Ana is a graduate of the 2012 Leadership Academy of the Association for Play Therapy (APT). In 2012 she served as a member of the APT Public Awareness Task Force and in 2014 on the Parents Corner Committee. Currently, Ana serves as the Director-At-Large for the Michigan Association for Play Therapy.
