Why Play Therapy?

Having spent many years working with children in a variety of settings it is quickly evident that children talk, a lot! Often parents and caregivers become frustrated due to the amount of communication in which their children engage. However, when it comes to emotional struggles, traumatic events, and behavioral problems children can struggle to put their feelings into words. Through play therapy, children use toys, puppets, art and sandtray to fully express their experiences.
